CE 101 – Introduction to Christian Education
An overview of Christian education including its Biblical foundation, nature, history, philosophy and application in today’s world.
(3 credits)

CE 102 – Education Ministry in the Local Church
A survey of the educational program of the New Testament Church which provides a total ministry of Biblical training for all believers using a variety of methods and modes.
(3 credits)

CE 201 – The Teaching/Learning Process
A study of the various teaching theories with modes of learning and analysis of factors in the process. Attention will be given to problems affecting the process and proposed solutions.
(3 credits)

CE 202 – Curriculum Design
An introduction to the development of the content of curricula with consideration of current trends. Systematic processes are provided for the preparation and presentation of lesson material utilizing various formats.
(3 credits)

CE 203 – Instructional Media
An overview of the use of various media in the teaching/learning process with an introduction to the available audio/visual aids and their nature and operations.
(3 credits)

CE 301 – Education Ministry for Children
An exploration of the many facets of the church’s ministry to children with consideration of child development. Sunday school, youth church, Bible clubs, camps and vacation Bible school are analyzed.

CE 302 – Education Ministry for Youth
An introduction to the ministry of teaching Junior High and Senior High students with consideration of age groups interests and abilities and various methodologies tested available.
(3 credits)

CE 303 – Education Ministry for Adults
An overview of the facets of teaching Bible and providing Christian discipleship training to adults at various stages of their continuing development. Unique approaches to Sunday School and other programs are read.

CE 401 – Education Administration I
A study of the various aspects of organization and leading an education Ministry. Program design, personnel, communication, curricula, policies, training and equipment are considered.

CE 403 – Project in Education
Students may seek approval for specialized directed study in an education area. Especially appropriate when fill-in credit is needed.
(1 to 2 credits)

CE 101E – Introduction to Christian Education
This ecourse provides an analysis and overview of Christian education. The student will study the theology, the development psychology, and the theory of educational learning.
(3 credits)

CE 412 – Education Administration (Advanced)
An introduction to the history of public and private education, as well as the organization and operation of the Christian school, with consideration of church, community, government, board, administration, faculty, parents, curricula, program, finances, and promotion.
(3 credits)

CE 403-39 – Seminar in Education
Students may take non-CTU education seminars with prior approval and specified reading and writing assignments. Especially appropriate when fill in credit is needed.
