How to Apply for Admission (page 113)

INSTRUCTIONS

The purpose of this section is to give the prospective student an overview of the procedure and process required for the full matriculation of a CTU student.

  • First, you should familiarize yourself with Conservative Theological University by reading the complete catalog.
  • Second, focus on the program level, either Undergraduate, Graduate, or Doctorate level. Review the program of study giving careful consideration to the area of ministry you are presently serving in or the area you feel God has called you into.
If you are serving in the realm of Christian Counseling, or desire to become a Christian Counselor, you would not need to concentrate on programs requiring the original Biblical languages. Conversely, if you are being led by the Lord to do Biblical research and publishing, Bible college, or Christian school teaching, you would by necessity be required to enroll into the program of study that offers the Biblical languages.
  • Third, turn to the application section of this catalog with the necessary forms to apply for the chosen program of study
  • Fourth, follow the step-by-step instructions below: (Important to follow)
  1. Complete the application in full, date and sign.(Enclose check for $105.00) Mail “First”.) Click here to complete the application electronically.(Mail with fees immediately)
  2. Have the three recommendations letters filled out and returned by the one making the recommendation directly to the office of admissions(send application first). Do not write for letters.
  3. Prayerfully read and sign the statement of faith. (Mail with paid application)
  4. Complete and mail the transcript request forms to any former academic institution from which you want transfer of credits or that you have an earned degree.
  5. Include a check for the required $25.00 non-refundable application fee. Applications are not accepted or processed without the application fee. Also, you need to send $80.00 for initial registration fee & initial semester fees (see Fees Schedule Click Here in catalog).
  6. Attach a current photo of yourself.

It can take from 4-6 weeks to process an application for admission. Therefore, you may want to provide an addressed stamped envelope to those you ask to give recommendation and urge them to submit the letter as quickly as possible.

Occasionally, CTU will grant approval on a provisional basis, subject to receiving all of the required documentation in the application process. When provisional status is granted, the student will have up to 90 days in which to meet all requirements for CTU to lift the “provisional” status.

If you are applying for any Masters degree, including the M.A., M. Div., ThM. or M.E.J. program, please complete “all” forms.

Please remember the three letters of recommendation are to be completed and mailed by the one making the recommendation.
